This past week, I spent 4 days brainstorming and planning for my business for 2019 with the amazing Washington, DC photographer Andie of Costola Photography. And it was one of the most life-giving things I have done in a long time.
Andie and I met at Creative at Heart Conference in August 2017, and we really hit it off! After the conference, we continued talking and having meetings to discuss our businesses. It blossomed into a beautiful friendship and wonderful business partnership.
Over the summer, I kept telling Andie how much I wanted to have these meetings in person. So she suggested we get together in a fun city and do a business retreat! We picked Nashville because it’s close to me and an easy flight for her.
One Day 1, we discussed our overall big picture plans for 2019 (I have some pretty epic plans!!), our packages, and what heirlooms we wanted our clients to have. It was amazing to dream up what our ideal clients look like and how we can serve them best. Andie is incredible at creating content for social media, so we dove head first into how to bring that into my business.
Day 2 we focused on diving deep into God’s purpose for our lives and how we can use the gifts He gives us. We had a 6 hour conversation about how to give more to our clients and create an experience that makes them feel valued and loved.
We spent lots of time talking about business but we also were able to fit in time to brainstorm ways to make our personal lives more balanced. It was a wonderful trip and I am so excited to start implementing our plans!! So friends, what would you like to see from me in 2019?
