Meg and David’s First Baptist Church and Ledges wedding in Huntsville was breath-taking at every turn. The day began with sunshine and a light breeze. Meg and her sweet bridesmaids were busy getting ready at her family home. You could feel the buzz of excitement as they chatted while steaming dresses and finishing up makeup. I enjoyed photographing Meg’s gorgeous bridal details that she put so much thought into picking out. By far my favorite pieces was a family heirloom handkerchief that every woman in her family since the 1800s had worn on their wedding day. It was like being handed a treasure of sentimental significance!
We met up with the groomsmen and groom, David at the Ledges in the early afternoon after Meg and David shared the sweetest first look. I kept hearing Meg say she couldn’t believe it was finally wedding day! They shared laughter and we took some gorgeous portraits of them. It was so wonderful having Erica and Lynn from Helping Hands who kept Meg’s dress perfect and David’s suit tidy. Having a wedding planner on your wedding day is incredibly helpful to both you AND your wedding vendors!
The ceremony took place at the First Baptist Church of Huntsville downtown. Meg had asked me to photograph some behind the scenes of her and her dad before they went down the aisle. It was so intimate and emotional to be with them right before she became a married woman. I loved getting to capture those precious moments. In front of several hundred friends and family, the sweet couple said their vows and became husband and wife.
The reception at the Ledges was beautiful and my jaw dropped at what Buckets and Blooms created for the floral arrangements. Charlotte at Buckets and Blooms is a woman after my flower loving heart! You are going to LOVE the details from this wedding! A huge thank you to these amazing vendors who made this wedding a breeze to photograph!
