I am so excited to share these incredibly gorgeous images and film with you. William and I were married on October 17th,2017 in a private ceremony in the middle of the desert mountains of Oregon at Smith Rock State Park. When William and I first got engaged, we knew we wanted to have a wedding this way. Intimate, romantic, epic, joyful, and on our terms. I researched wedding venues, and I could never come up with one that made my heart sing like Smith Rock. So we decided to start our marriage on an adventure in the Oregon countryside. We picked some of the most incredibly talented wedding vendors and flew them out to the West coast for our epic wedding.

The day started out like most wedding days do: with a lot of excitement and several cups of hot chocolate and coffee. William and I shared a cup of hot chocolate before I started my hair and makeup. It was so nice to share that quiet time together on the morning of our wedding. William went to a separate place to get ready. As the morning progressed, I Facetimed with my parents in my wedding dress. It was a blessing to share in the day with them in that way. My dad even dressed up in a tux and wore my Grandpa’s cuff links to our Facetime date. That was the first time I cried on our wedding day. My Grandpa Bailey passed away a month before our wedding so it was incredibly special to be able to have a piece of him on our wedding day.
William and I shared a first look before our ceremony at Smith Rock; he looked so handsome in his black tuxedo and black bow tie. I was amazed at how the weather turned out for our big day: 72 and sunny with a slight breeze. We shared a few laughs and joyful tears and then made the hike down to our ceremony location in the valley. It was about a mile hike on a very steep slope, but the views were so worth it. Our vendors were total troopers getting down to the ceremony location.
Our ceremony was a mix of vows, intentions, a wine pouring ceremony, and stories about our love. It felt like the whole world faded away during our ceremony and it was just me and William standing there next to the river and mountains. After our ceremony and portraits, we ended the day by playing with alpacas at Crescent Moon Ranch. The owner, Scott and his wife were incredibly kind to allow us to come after hours to see the alpaca. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. William and I even got to hold a baby alpaca! If you are ever in Oregon, you have to go to Crescent Moon Ranch!
I hope you enjoy these beautiful images! I will post our wedding film at the bottom!
